We are a welcoming community wood workshop and non-profit in Maryhill, Glasgow – a space for anyone to learn and share skills in sustainable woodwork. We use donated and reclaimed timber to make, teach and support all forms of woodwork from spoon carving to furniture restoration.

Shop our range of outdoor planters & raised beds. Built right here in the workshop from treated pine - made to resist rot and live outdoors for years. Whether you're after a window box, a raised bed for your allotment, or a planter bench for your patio, each piece is made by our team and volunteers with attention to detail and a bit of Glasgow grit.
Made-to-Order Planter
A solid planter box built to live outdoors. Made from treated pine to resist rot and weather, these planters are crafted by our team with occasional support from volunteers.
Available in several lengths to suit your space, and you can customise them to fit how you'll use them. Add casters to make it portable, rope handles for easier moving, or a trellis if you're planning to grow climbing plants. Simple, sturdy, and built to last in all weathers.

Made-to-Order Raised Bed
A solid raised bed for growing your own. Made from treated pine to resist rot and built without a bottom so your plants can root properly into the soil below. Perfect for allotments, kitchen gardens, or anyone with green fingers looking to grow vegetables, herbs, or flowers.
Available in several standard sizes or made to your exact measurements if you need something specific to fit your space. You can also opt to add a trellis to support climbing plants. Built by our team with care and attention to detail.

One of our popular designs. This cube planter is a neat 42cm on all sides - perfect for doorways, driveways, or as a garden accent piece. Made from treated pine to resist rot and weather, it's substantial enough for small trees or shrubs. Simple, versatile, and built to last outdoors. Garden Bench with Integrated Planters
A substantial piece for your garden. This bench combines seating, planting space, and built-in storage all in one. Planters sit at either end, while the lift-up seat reveals storage underneath. Made from treated pine to resist rot and weather, it's built with attention to detail by our team. Solid, practical, and ready to become a fixture in your outdoor space. Regular events
There is always something happening at Boomerang. From weekly sessions such as Carving Club and Maryhill Men’s Shed, to Open Bench our open workshop event where you can come along and work on your own projects with the support of our knowledgable team . Our events are a chance to learn new skills, meet others and get creative with wood. Everyone is welcome, come along and see what you can make!
Workshops
We host workshops that you can book in advance through Ticket Tailor. These are a great way to learn new skills and techniques from experienced makers in a beginner friendly, group setting. Want to arrange your own workshop? We offer bespoke workshops for groups, drop us a message to enquire.
